Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119)
1 Timothy 2:1-7 Holy Spirit, teach me humility in love and truth... St. Paul encourages Timothy and the Church “to pray everyone, for kings and all who are in high positions”. Do I have enough humility to pray for and be loved by all, by those of low estate as well as by those of high estate? Do I have enough humility to recognize that I can never myself proclaim, or even know, the whole Truth that was made incarnate in the life of Christ Jesus? When I have enough humility, I will be able to pray ‘properly’ for everyone, for kings and all who are in high positions, and for all of humanity. Holy Spirit, teach me humility in love and truth. O save your people, and bless your heritage; be their shepherd, and carry them forever. (Psalm 28:9) "Do things for others, not because of who they are, or what they do in return, but because of who you are.” St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta www.gospelmysteryoftheday.ca Soli gloriam dei.
