Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119)
I Thessalonians 4:1-8 Like all other elements of creation, my body is designed according to a holy blueprint of Creator God. It is designed for life, for love and for the ‘laughter’ that proceeds from the glorious light of the Holy Spirit of God. Replete with finely integrated senses –sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch and intuition – it is through our bodies that we interact with each other and with all the rest of the created world. With each thought, word, or action, I either honour or dishonour my being, either respect and control my body or use it for things which are beneath my dignity – and health – as a beloved daughter (son) of the Father. How will I practice loving kindness and discipline with my body today? Holy Spirit of God, teach me to honour my body and keep it holy. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. (Matthew 5:8) Begin to see yourself as a soul with a body, not a body with a soul. Wayne Dyer www.gospelmysteryoftheday.ca Soli gloriam dei.
