Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119)
Romans 8:31-39 Holy Spirit, help me realize your love surrounding us... St. Paul was convinced that ‘nothing... can separate us from the love of God.’ In other words, at the foundation of reality per se is this love of God that is more powerful than death, life, angels, rulers, powers, heights, depths, the present and the past. This amazing truth brings me comfort and courage to walk ahead in my own journey. But what of my relationships with others? Do I respond to others with the realization that God’s love is operative within and through them? That as I speak with my family members, my co-workers, friends and acquaintances and interact with them, I am in fact engaging the love of God that is always present, always flowing around and through us? Holy Spirit, help me realize your love surrounding us. But the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children’s children. (Psalm 103:17) Pain and suffering have come into your life, but remember pain, sorrow and suffering are but the kiss of Jesus – a sign that you have come so close to Him that He can kiss you.
