Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119)
Romans 4:13-18
No matter what calm waters or stormy waves come my way, all events of my life are designed to bring me closer into God’s mercy, by helping me grow in faith. Unfortunately, sometimes growth in faith leads me think that it is all for my glory, that it is in order to gift me with fame or success or fortune that God allows me to survive and even thrive through various challenges. In reality, God designs my life to grow faith in me, for the glory of God. When my life reflects the glory of God, I become fully human, fully alive, and an integral part of God’s beloved people bound together, as we are, by the love of the Holy Spirit. Am I really committed to allowing the glory of God to shine through my life? Holy Spirit, help me grow in faith, to the glory of God. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who has visited and redeemed his people; he has raised up a mighty salvation for us, in the house of his servant, David. (Luke 1:68,69 ) The glory of God is man fully alive, and the life of man is the vision of God. St. Irenaeus www.gospelmysteryoftheday.ca Soli gloriam dei.
