Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119)
Acts 3:1-10 & Luke 24:13-25
The paralyzed man waiting day after day at the gate of the temple recognized the presence of Christ Jesus in Peter and John when they said, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, stand up and walk.” Jumping up, the man began to walk! The disciples walking the road to Emmaus were slower on the uptake. When Jesus came near and went with them, they were so caught up in their own ideas that they didn’t even recognize the very One they were discussing! Today, am I seeing Jesus, present along my life’s journey? Or am I too busy chattering away to myself and others about how bad things are? Christ Jesus, quicken my heart to know your presence with me. Let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually. (Psalm 105: 3,4)) And he departed from our sight that we might return to our heart, and there find him. For he departed, and behold, he is here. St. Augustine Soli gloriam dei .
