Rev 22:1-7 & Luke 21:34-36
Like Peter and the other disciples who followed Jesus and ministered at his side, each of us is called to stand before Christ Jesus, face to face and uncompromised as beloved heirs of Father God. “Be on your guard”, Jesus tells us, “so that [no matter what happens] your hearts are not weighed down with dissipation (frenetic activity) and drunkenness (addictions or passions of any kind) and the worries of this life (global or personal)”. Holy Spirit of Jesus, help me [my children, my loved ones, those with whom I am praying…] stay alert that [I] might stand before you.
O that today you would listen to his voice! (Psalm 95)
