Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119)
It is easy to say God’s will is not our will. But when I witness God’s will working out in my own life or circle of friends and family, through physical suffering, lack of employment, traumatic events leading to fear, rage or grief, am I content? Only when I stand back from the tyranny of the present, to view life knowledgeably as a whole, a story that is made complete by the grace of its Creator, am I able to proceed in Faith, Hope and Love, and peace, along my own journey. Holy Spirit, fill me with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.
I am the light of the world, says the Lord; whoever follows me will have the light of life. (John 8: 12)
