Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119)
2 Corinthians 9:6-10
At any given time there are many good works going on around me – if I can only be open enough, beyond my own passions and problems, to notice them. Some of the sick and the lonely are being visited. A few of the hungry are being fed. The ‘lepers, the lame and the lunatics’ are being cared for by a handful of loving, believing, generous individuals. Am I generous enough to open up my time, talents and treasure to share abundantly in all of the physical (corporal) and spiritual works of mercy? Christ Jesus, help me share abundantly in every good work.
It is well with those who deal generously ... They are not afraid of evil tidings; their hearts are firm, secure in the Lord. (Psalm 112)
The world is your ship and not your home.
