Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119)
Acts 11:1-18 & Psalm 42 Although it is always worth the effort, the way of mercy and truth is not so easily found. Only with the same light and truth used by Christ will I be able to find the way of mercy and peace of God. Do light and truth naturally occur in my consciousness? Will light and truth remain fixed as my default ‘operating system’? Can I generate light and truth on my own? No, no and no. Only as much as I pause to ask the Holy Spirit for light and truth am I able to receive the inspiration of holiness that will guide me away from the confusion of darkness and reveal the path of life through the changes and chances of my journey. Lord, send out your light and your truth to lead me in the way. He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake. (Psalm 23:3) Some pruning comes unexpectedly and violently. Some comes gradually… Then we have more time for God and the things of God, and can give more attention to the sacred space within us.
