Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119)
Holy Spirit of Jesus, help me live in holiness and righteousness all the days of my life...7/30/2019 Matthew 13:36-43 There is no pass time or profession on earth that guarantees that my life will be deemed worthy of being in ‘heaven’ in the nearer presence of God for eternity. No matter what my assignment in present day society, as much as my life is a breeding ground for sin, that is, for disconnection from God and from other human beings, that much I will be considered a ‘weed’ and ill-fitted for the mercy and the truth of God’s kingdom. But as much as I refuse to be shaped and shifted by evil in everything I do, say and think, and hold fast to the holiness and righteousness that is within God’s nature, and within me, that much I will be comfortable –and comforted – in heaven. Will I be deemed a weed in God’s kingdom, hell-bent on doing things ‘my way’, or will I be recognized as a ‘good’ plant that bears much good fruit of the Spirit with my life – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control? Holy Spirit of Jesus, help me live in holiness and righteousness all the days of my life. As a father has compassion for his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who honor him. (Psalm 103:13) If the devil cannot make us bad, he will make us busy. Corrie Ten Boom www.gospelmysteryoftheday.ca & Gospel Mystery of the Day on Facebook Soli ad gloriam Dei
