Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119)
2 Corinthians 3:15 – 4:6 & Matthew 5:20-26 Every hour – and arguably every minute – of each day, I have the choice to carry on with my own idea of what I want to do with my own life in my own way, or to be clay in the Potter’s hands, being molded and fashioned into the likeness of His Son, Jesus. In the end, I become what or whom I be-hold. My thoughts, words, and actions, take on the character of the things, or the Ones to whom I lift up my soul. Will I be focused on the plans and passions of this life on planet earth, or will I behold the face of Father God as he works away at my Being, and allow myself to become transformed into the likeness of his Son? Holy Spirit of Jesus, help me be transformed - with the hands of your Father and mine- into your likeness. Steadfast love and faithfulness will meet; righteousness and peace will kiss each other. Faithfulness will spring up from the ground, and righteousness will look down from the sky. . (Psalm 85:10 & 11 ) Father, God, I yield to you my entire liberty. Take my memory, my intellect and my will. All that I am and all that I have come from you. I give it all back to you to stand under your will alone. Your love and your mercy are enough for me. I ask for nothing more. St. Ignatius of Loyola Soli ad gloriam Gospel Mystery of the Day on FaceBook & www.gospelmysteryoftheday.ca
