Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119)
Matthew 18:1-10 There are so many distractions and paths that open up as I go about my daily routines. Things, people, and events that are good and even exciting swirl around me, pulling this way, pushing that way. So often these temporal things of the flesh lead me into frustration or sometimes chaos if I throw caution to the wind and follow their siren voices. But this is not God’s best for me. God prefers, rather, that I walk with him humbly, in the simplicity of a child, keeping myself focused on his ways and wisdom, as do all the angels of heaven. Today will I walk humbly with Father God? Holy Spirit, help me to walk simply with my God. “Let us go with you for we have heard that God is with you.” (Zechariah 8:23) Do not despise one of these little ones; for I tell you, their angels continually see the face of my Father in heaven.
