Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119)
Colossians 3:12-17 Shakespeare noted that "Clothes oft bespeak the man" (or woman!). Soul-clothing that is designed by the rulers of this world for frivolity and sewn by unskilled and careless hands; clothing that has been woven with judgement, dyed in bitterness and decorated with malice, speaks of a person who is self-absorbed and driven by desires and ‘demons’, or even addictions. But soul-clothing that has been designed by the Creator of the Universe and sewn by the skilled hands of the Holy Spirit of God; clothing that is woven with compassion, dyed in humility, decorated with kindness, and furthermore, is ironed with peace, bespeaks a person who has grown up in the knowledge and love of God, and is ready to love others. What kind of clothing is my soul wearing today? Teach us to count our days that we might gain a wise heart ... (Psalm 90:12) Yes, you must live life beautifully, and not allow the spirit of the world that makes gods out of power, riches and pleasure make you forget that you have been created for greater things.
