Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119)
Romans 4:13-22 From Abraham onwards, holy men and women have more or less invested their lives in their trust in God. Scripture is full of promises the writers of the Bible have tested and found true. And at the root of all of these promises is the covenant between God and humankind: To those who love God and follow his commands they will be assured of God’s unfailing love and mercy, and life eternal. How many aspects of God’s promises have I made my own? Today, how will my faith in God be deepened? Lord strengthen my faith that I might know your promises. Your faithfulness is as firm as the heavens… (Psalm 89: 2) “The man of the true religious tradition understands two things: liberty and obedience. The first means knowing what you really want. The second means knowing what you really trust.” - G.K.Chesterton www.gospelmysteryoftheday.ca Soli gloriam dei.
