Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119)
Jeremiah 17:5-10 Adoration: I turn my heart to you, O Lord … Intercession: Help _________turn his/her heart to you, O Lord … Whomever or whatever consumes my time and energy ‘has my heart’. What is it that wakens me from sleep? Whether it is thoughts of possessions or obsessions, fame or shame, or persons or places, these are the things that ‘have my heart’ on any given day or night. It takes time with the Lord in prayerful silences or open listening to turn my heart to the Lord – again, and again and again. Today will I turn my heart to the world and the flesh or to God, manifest in Father, Son and Holy Spirit? Lord God, Creator God, I turn my heart to you. Help [all those I am praying with] turn their hearts to you, O Lord. Those who delight in the Lord … are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves do not wither. (Psalm 1:1,3) Lord, you have my heart, and I will search for yours, Jesus take my life and lead me on. Let me be to you a sacrifice. And I will praise you, Lord. And I will sing of your great love, And as you show your face, we’ll see your glory here. Lenny Leblanc, 2008 I pray to God to give me perseverance that I be a faithful witness to him to the end of my life for my God. St. Patrick www.gospelmysteryoftheday.ca Soli gloriam dei.
