Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119)
Gospel Mystery of the Day Friday, June 8, 2018
Good Morning! Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119) Ephesians 3:8-19 The love of Christ Jesus, that redeems all of human kind, is far too great a mystery for me as one human being to fully understand. It takes a lifetime of days and millions of moments to even begin to know the love of Christ. How many of my moments today will I devote to analyzing human fallacy or nursing resentments? Is it not more profitable to contemplate the ‘breadth and length and height and depth’ of the mercy of Christ Jesus – in each relationship, each event, and each circumstance? As much as I meditate on the boundless love of God through Christ Jesus, I can be filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit, help me comprehend the love of Christ. I led them with chords of human kindness, with bands of love. I was to them like those who lift an infant to the cheek. I bent down to them and fed them. (Hosea 11:4) Intense love does not measure, it just gives. St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta www.gospelmysteryoftheday.ca & Gospel Mystery of the Day on Facebook Soli ad gloriam Dei
