Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119)
Isaiah 49:8-15 There is only so much that can fill my mind. When my thoughts are consumed with worries, resentments or passions, memories of God’s love can be pushed to the margins of awareness or be forgotten altogether. But as much as I behold God’s mercy saving me from the pits of sin and despair, then my mind is filled with the truth of love, and love for truth, which is the constant flow of divine mercy into human kind and all of creation. What am I filling my mind with today, misery or mercy? Father God, help me be mindful of your saving love. The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The Lord is good to all, and his compassion is over all that he has made. (Psalm 145:1) Your love and your mercy are all I need; I ask for nothing more.
