Christ Jesus, through all of life’s circumstance, help me love as you love...

 
1 John 4:7-10
 
The hallmark of being a follower of Christ Jesus is love. Put another way, as much as I love like Jesus –as he spent his life’s energy to proclaim and to perform healing of the diseased, releasing of prisoners, and the raising of the dead, both literally and figuratively –that much I am truly his follower.  This means that in each relationship, each event, and each circumstance of life, there is a way to love like Jesus; there is always a way to allow the Holy Spirit to love God and to love others through my thoughts, words and actions.  Am I sufficiently prayerful with God who wills me, who loves me, to love like Jesus?  Christ Jesus, through all of life’s circumstances, help me love as you love.
