Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119)
John 3:1-8 Jesus made it very clear: “What is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be astonished that I said to you, ‘You must be born from above’”. Any baptised person has been washed by the Spirit of God and is birthed into the potential of growing into adulthood in life in the Spirit. Unfortunately, these days very few of the Baptized remember that they have been reborn through the sacrament of Baptism and forget to embrace and engage their spiritual life and all of its fullness. As much as I forget my identity as a beloved, Spirit-birthed child of God, I will muddle around in the swamps of selfish ease and go with the flow of the world. But as much as I remember my birth by the Spirit of God, I will live forward into Grace and Mercy by faith, hope and love more and more as I mature into the fullness of my identity as a child of God. Will I allow myself to be filled with the living breath of the Holy Spirit of God? Christ Jesus, remind me that I have been born of the Holy Spirit of God, no matter what challenges I face. Remind my brothers, my sisters and my children that they have been born of the Holy Spirit of God. Grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness... (Acts 4:, 23) Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe. St. Augustine of Hippo Alleluia! Christ is risen indeed! Many ‘lively’ blessings be upon you and your family throughout these 50 days of the Easter Season! www.gospelmysteryoftheday.ca & Gospel Mystery of the Day on Facebook Soli ad gloriam Dei
