Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119)
Tobit 12:1-13:17, & Mark 12:38-44
What is ‘true’? That which is true to God’s nature in me: those thoughts, words and actions that arise from truth, love, humility, faithfulness, justice, peace, healing and life itself. The story of Tobit provides a vignette of a life truly lived before God. The widow who put two coins in the treasury did what was true before God. Am I willing for all my thoughts, words and deeds to similarly be exposed in truth before God? Christ Jesus, help me do what is true before you.
Bless God and acknowledge him in the presence of all the living for the good things he has done for you. (Tobit 12:6)
