Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. (Psalm 119)
Daniel 3:25-43 & Psalm 25 & Matthew 18:21-35
There are times when it seems that the powers that be, even within churches, are cliquish and hard-hearted, rather than welcoming. Then it is easy to fall into a sink-hole of rejection and judgement. But the truth is that God’s Holy Spirit is not limited to the personalities that vie for power and control of human structures. Under similar circumstances Azariah proclaimed, “Yet with a contrite heart and a humble spirit we [can be] accepted, and may we unreservedly follow you.” How is the Lord calling me to look to him and follow him, beyond the failings of other human beings? May I unreservedly follow you, O Lord. Lead me in your truth, and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation. (Psalm 25:5) Remain in this sacred silence, in this holy admiration, which increases the love of God. St.. Paul of the Cross. Soli gloriam dei .
